Inside Livingston

>Livingston High School improves its education rankings to join Millburn and Chatham High Schools in the top 10. An attraction to the train line towns further exceeds a convenient commute, there is a value in educating the youth and building a community. Previously in 2014, Livingston High School was ranked No. 16 for Top 100 Public High Schools, there is a new factor when rating schools which may have contributed to Livingston's dramatic improvement.

Livingston is a medium size commuter town with a large variety of family friendly local activities and organizations. Livingston has numerous big box stores, specialty stores, boutiques and r restaurants located in 3 main shopping areas which include Center Town (downtown) and Livingston Mall. Livingston is home to a couple Performing arts organizations that are great for entertaining.

The township provides a fee-based jitney service to South Orange Train Station to Midtown Manhattan.  Alternatively, commuters will take I-280 to Harrison then grab the path.  In total, commute is about an hour with either option.
